OUR HISTORY
Back in 1993, on March Air Reserve Base, CA, March Aviation Gallery (or March Frame Shop) opened for business. A custom picture framing and awards and recognition business catering to the military at March Air Reserve Base, California. Originally on March ARB as a NAF concessionaire, we’ve moved several times off the military base. We are now just outside the main entrance to March ARB off Cactus Ave at 14420 Elsworth St, Ste 101, Moreno Valley (Chevron Gas Station Strip Mall).
Although we offer custom picture framing (including your typical large shadow boxes) as well as countless awards and recognition products locally, our only online specialty product is a plaque version of a military shadow box.
This product meets the need for a small format, yet fairly encompassing summary of a service members career. Perfect for an office in a service members new career.
It also is significantly less expensive than a shadow box. For many military units, friends, and family members, these one-of-a-kind, personalized heirlooms have turned out to be the perfect retirement gift.

Our specialty is a unique retirement gift that can replace the standard military retirement shadow box. It offers the same function of displaying a military members service record, but in a more subdued, understated way. It also is significantly less expensive than a shadow box. For many military units, friends, and family members, these one-of-a-kind, personalized heirlooms have turned out to be the perfect retirement gift.
In our gallery you will see several plaques to show you different ideas on how your plaque can be designed. Please do not feel limited to the examples shown. These are customized to each customer and we highly encourage involving the receiver in the design process to ensure it displays the information the retiree believes are important. Also, please provide us with as much lead time as possible, to allow the collection of information and items needed to complete your order. Our gallery shows hundreds of actual customer plaques sorted by service.
Although the basic design follows a similar structure, each plaque is customized to each customer.
Please do not feel limited to the examples shown. We are open to trying whatever your can dream up.
If this is a gift to someone, we highly encourage involving the receiver in the design process to ensure it displays the information the retiree believes is important. I hate getting calls from recipients who ask us to have the plaque redone due to errors on their plaque.
